The Eight Doors Born Between 2 Generals

Seven doors are built · this is the eighth

Eight doors. One method.

Seven platforms, built separately, do the same three things to everything they hold: ask where it came from, ask who benefits and who is exposed, and ask what you can actually do next. Learn the method on a song and you own it for a contract, a headline, a royalty statement, or a ballot procedure. This door explains the method. The other seven are behind it.

  • 95¢of every dollar to the artist. 3¢ card, 2¢ platform.
  • 3lenses. Never one or two. No platform ships a subset.
  • 7numbers assessed weekly. Streams is not one of them.

The front door

What this actually is

A young person is handed an agreement and told it is standard. Nobody expects them to read it. They are entirely capable of reading it once somebody hands them a method — and the method has to be small enough to carry, identical on every screen they meet it on, and unflattering to the people who built it.

That is what the Three Lens Engine is. One package, installed identically into seven platforms, presenting three fixed questions over whatever the platform holds. Same names, same colours, same ordering, everywhere. The lens scores are structured columns in a database rather than opinions in a paragraph, which means you can query them, re-run the query, get the same answer, and read the query that produced it.

Around it sits a six-stage operating loop, a five-axis score that decides what gets money, seven weekly numbers, and a replication unit — the Room — that costs a screened adult and one hour a week rather than a building.

The engine

Three lenses, in this order, forever

The order is not a style choice. You cannot weigh an arrangement you cannot verify, and you cannot act on one you have not weighed.

The three are a set. SOURCE without POWER produces people who can fact-check but not negotiate. POWER without PATH produces people who are cynical and stuck. PATH without SOURCE produces people who act confidently on nonsense. No platform ships one or two of them.

The tier ladder

SOURCE resolves to a number between 1 and 6. Lower is stronger. The ladder is canon and is not renumbered.

The five questions POWER always asks

Every one of the five exists because a real public document answers it badly. The quotations are from documents anyone can open.

Where these three came from, and what was invented

    The operating loop

Six stages, and the fifth one is where movements die

Every part of the ecosystem — platform, curriculum, catalogue, institutional revenue — is scored on the same instrument and moved through the same six stages.

      The Power Play Score

Five axes, 1–5 each, weighted. Maximum 55. Only the top ten assets receive budget in any quarter — and that single constraint is what stops an organisation with unlimited moral urgency from spending itself to death on twenty simultaneous priorities. Move the sliders.

      0/ 55

      The Q4 2026 pass, actual

The pattern in the scores is the lesson. The three highest-scoring assets already exist and can be sold to institutions today. The two lowest are capital projects. Movements die of capital projects — a physical youth studio runs $250,000 to $1 million per location, with one Milwaukee philanthropist reporting $1.2 million for four. The Room is deliberately the anti-studio: it costs a screened adult and a weekly hour.

      The seven numbers

Weekly assessment. Seven numbers, one page, no additions.

Deliberately absent: . Those are the numbers that look like winning while a movement is quietly dying, and they are precisely what makes the plateau feel like death.

The tripwire lives on the same page. If new Rooms formed falls below half of the trailing eight-week peak for three consecutive weeks, acquisition spend stops and everything shifts to retention and canon distribution. It is written down in advance so it cannot be argued with in the moment.

        Behind the front door

        The seven

One engine, seven bindings. A binding declares which of a platform's tables carry lenses, which lenses each object type is expected to carry, and why. It is data, not code — which is the entire repeatability claim. Adding the engine to an eighth platform is: copy the package, write a binding.

        The prompt layer

Ask it anything. Then read the query it ran.

One input on every surface, with three lens toggles beside it. The toggles filter retrieval, not the answer. Lens fields are structured columns, so show me every release where the artist keeps more than 90% and can leave in under a month compiles to a WHERE clause instead of a semantic guess. This is live, running against a sample of real lens rows — every answer below is retrieved, and the SQL is shown verbatim.

Toggles narrow retrieval; with none pressed, all three lenses are in scope. Try one of these:

        Nine specialty lenses

A specialty lens is a named prompt plus a fixed retrieval filter plus a fixed output shape. Anyone can author one and the library is public.

        The instrument

        Label Lens

POWER, taken out of the engine and pointed at seven real agreements you can open in another tab. Every term is quoted and linked to the page it came from. Score your own deal in five questions and print the receipt. Then run the facilitated version of the same exercise — Session 7, Would I Sign This? — with a timer, a run of show and a publishable verdict at the end.

The platform's own artist agreement is in the library, scored by the same rules, ranked in the same list. It is there so that the day it scores badly, it is the platform that changes.

        • Seven agreementsread, quoted and scored on the five POWER components
        • An asymmetry indexweighted across only the components the document actually answered
        • Unread ≠ zerosilent components leave the score, and the interface names them
        • Severity is the worst single componentnever a sum, so one perpetual training grant cannot be averaged into comfort
        • A printable receiptfive questions, five answers, each quoted or marked "not stated"
        • Nothing loggedentirely client-side. No account, no storage, no telemetry

        Discipline

        What we refuse to claim

The fastest way to discredit a movement about reading the paperwork is to be caught overstating what the paperwork says. These are on the front door on purpose.
